What Is Bideo App? India's Video and Shorts Platform Explained

Bideo App is a free Indian video platform where you can watch and create short videos (Shorts), long videos, stories and community posts — all from your Android phone. It is built for Indian creators and audiences, with content in many regional languages.

If you have just heard about Bideo, this guide explains what the app is, what you can do with it, and how to get started in a few minutes.

What Bideo App is

Bideo (pronounced like "video" with a B) is a mobile-first video sharing platform. Viewers use it to discover entertaining and useful content, and creators use it to publish videos and build a following.

Bideo focuses on original regional creativity — comedy, dance, shayari, food, education, devotional content, vlogs and more — so that creators from small towns and big cities both get a fair chance to be discovered.

What you can do on Bideo

• Watch Shorts — vertical videos (9:16) of up to 60 seconds, in a fast, swipeable feed.
• Watch long videos — standard landscape or portrait videos for tutorials, vlogs, stories and more.
• Follow creators — see new uploads from the channels you follow in the Followings tab.
• Post stories — photo or video stories that disappear after 24 hours.
• Share community posts — a text or image update to your followers (one post per day).
• Chat — send messages, share videos with friends and create group chats.
• Save videos — build playlists, revisit your watch history and find videos you liked.
• Earn coins and grow — collect coins, boost your videos and unlock the verified badge.
